is the brainchild of Rochelle Garwood, mother of two girls, the oldest of whom uses a wheelchair. Rochelle has always enjoyed travel and tried to go as far as her limited funds would take her, which means lots of do-it-yourself travel planning. Frustration with inadequate information about accessibility in both directions - both thinking that places were accessible when they were not and missing out on places that her family could have visited because they were more accessible than she thought - led to the idea for this website. Who knows better about accessibility than someone with a mobility impairment that's been there? Her hope is that through this website, people with physical disabilities and their families can help each other have better travel experiences.
